Update / upgrade or downgrade to iOS4 and Jailbreak - iPod Touch / iPhone

(If you don't like the music, please don't complain, just click the volume button on the bottom-left to mute it). (This video shows you how to upgrade / downgrade to 4.0 and jailbreak it. This is recommended and has only been tried on the following iPods: 2nd generation, 3rd generation, and 4th generation (8gb, 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb). Use at your own risks, I am not responsible for any problems, this is for educational purposes only.) Read the description before watching or posting any questions. All links are there. (Make sure updates on iTunes are set to Off or Manual)! 1. Download the latest version of iTunes. 2. First you have to downgrade or upgrade. 3. Go to www.felixbruns.de 4. Click on the option box under iPhone / iPod touch / iPad. 5. Scroll down and click on your generation iPod (with the one that says 4.0 in brackets beside it. 6. click download (save to Desktop or something) 7. While you're waiting for the download go to My Computer 8. Open the correct partition - most likely Local Disk (C:) 9. Open the following - Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts.file 10. Make a backup of it first, and then open it with Notepad 11. Click on the very last line and click Enter on your keyboard to make a new line 12. Type (74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com) without brackets. Save and close. 13. Open up iTunes and connect your iPod Touch. 14. On the left column click on your iPod. 15. If not already on it, click on the Summary tab (located near top of iTunes window) 16.
